چکیده

variety of polymer backbones and crosslinking systems can A be used in construction sealants ~ a reflection, in part, of the diverse performance requirements found in a range of applications. This article will evaluate properties of high performance elastic sealants, which are likely to be used in the most demanding movement amlications. Included in the evaluation i i i new technology polymer MS Polymer, which can be described as a silyl terminated polyether developed by Kaneka Corp. in Japan (I$). MS Polymer is finding commercial use in Japan, Europe and the USA as a base polymer for adhesives and sealants. Three one-part sealant types are assessed MS Sealant, silicone and polyurethane. Magnetic Properties of Cobalt Ferrite synthesized by Hydrothermal and Co-precipitation Methods: A Comparative Study

The magnetic properties of calcined cobalt ferrite formed by nano-crystalline powders have been compared by two different methods (co-precipitation and hydrothermal). The structural properties of the produced powders were investigated by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that the formation of cobalt ferrite spinel structures is effected by changing me...

بررسی خواص ضد استرپتوکوک موتانس شیاربندهای فلورایددار و بدون فلوراید پس از افزودن نانوذرات نقره

Background and Aims: Since recurrent caries are one of the major causes of failure in resin restorations, the production of antibacterial resin composites was always under investigation. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of fissure sealants containing nanosilver particles against the Streptococcus mutans.   Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, the antibacterial ...

Comparative clinical study of autopolymerized and light-polymerized fissure sealants: five-year results.

The retention of autopolymerized and light-polymerized Delton fissure sealants was compared. Sealants were applied to 207 first permanent molars with 304 separate sites in 73 children 6-8 years old (mean age 6.3 years). After five years, there was complete retention in 59% of the autopolymerized and 48% of the light-polymerized sealants. The resulting 11% difference in retention rates was not s...

A comparative study of fluoride release from two different sealants

OBJECTIVES The introduction of fluoride releasing sealants and glass ionomer cements as fissure sealants adds another dimension to prevention of pit and fissure caries. The ability of resin sealants and glass ionomer cements to release fluoride on a long term basis to the sealed enamel and the adjacent unsealed pit and fissure and cuspal incline enamel may allow for further reduction in pit and...

Comparative evaluation of the marginal sealing ability of Fuji VII and Concise as pit and fissure sealants.

AIM The anatomical pits and fissures of the teeth have long been recognized as susceptible areas for the initiation of dental caries. The extreme vulnerability to decay of these pits and fissures on the occlusal surfaces has prompted dental scientists to seek methods of caries prevention. Motivated by the role of pit and fissure sealants in caries prevention, the aim of this study was to compar...
